Your Subject: Business names and addresses

Your Message: I entered your website late last year and found business names and addresses. I cannot find the link now. Can you help? Thank you.

Dear Philip

Please find attached the link to the Babergh Business Directory, which I believe is the page you accessed last year: Economic+Development/.

Currently we are working with Burrows Communications towards producing an improved publication and web based Babergh Business Directory. As a result only very limited amendments have been undertaken to our web version Business Directory and consequently some information may be out of date.

Should you require further assistance please contact Economic Development Team on ecodev@babergh.gov.uk

message: Would it be possible for there to be a page listing all of the council house exchanges as it is not always possible to visit the offices to view the books and the ones in Sudbury are never the same as those in Hadleigh, even though I am constnatly reassured that they are. Thank you.

Dear Mrs Teager

Thank you for your enquiry concerning our mutual exchange process. I recognise that looking that looking through a number of exchange folders, can be difficult and time consuming.

Currently we are in the process of reviewing the whole procedure as well as looking at the options for enabling people to view exchanges using the web. Hopefully improvements will be made later this year. In the meantime may I suggest you look at the following website which may be of some help www.homeswapper.co.uk

Further developments are being made with the introduction of Choice Based Lettings which will begin in November.

Thank you for taking the time to make your suggestion, if you wish to discuss this or any other related matter please do not hesitate to contact me.

Alternatively look out for our advertisements for an Open day being held on Wednesday 26th March 2008, which will be really informative for tenants.

Yours sincerely

message: After nearly 1/2 hr I still not have found a link that takes me to where I can down load your planning forms. Why do you have to go to the planning portal? Please just put a simple link to your forms!!!!!!

Dear Mr Roe

We are very sorry that you have found this particular part of the Babergh website difficult to navigate. The simplest way to get to the pages you want is by clicking on the following sequence of links along the left-hand vertical bar:

Planning and Building Control
Planning Information

And then click on Suffolk Planning Portal link in the middle of the site

The main reason why we direct viewers wishing to download planning application forms to this site is that as most forms are generic it avoids needless duplication in reproducing them on our – and others’ websites.

There is to be a launch shortly by the ODPM of a national planning application form to which we will again have a link. By using a link we ensure that we are directing citizens through to the most up to date planning application forms and not unintentionally) outdated ones sitting on our web site.

Yours sincerely

Ray,
The guestbook is located at:

but unfortunately it's been a very thin year this year (apart from the cranks!). At least we have two entries now - yours and mine - so maybe this is the start of the recovery!
