Summary

The Secretary of State for Communities & Local Government has established a timetable over which the Local Government Review for Suffolk and Norfolk will take place.

Stage One: 3rd March - 11th April: complete

Consideration of the proposals for unitary local government to be evaluated aginst the five criteria set by the Boundary Committee.

Stage Two: 14th April - 4th July

Boundary Committee considers the various proposals and seeks further information from councils and other stakeholders.

Stage Three: 7th July - 26th September

Boundary Committee publishes its preferred proposal and consults with councils and other stakeholders on this proposal.

Stage Four: 29th September - 19th December

Boundary Committee considers the information recieved at Stage Three and presents its advice to the Secretary of State.
