Babergh has been working hard, in partnership with others, to deliver improved services and achieve savings and efficiencies from procurement. This was in response to the Government's National Procurement Strategy (NPS) for Local Government.
The Council has reviewed its achievements so far and how it can build on these further. The result is a new Strategic Procurement Framework that will focus, through joint working, on the following 3 key areas:
- Value for money, savings and efficiencies
- Supporting the local economy
- Environmental, economic and social sustainability
