"Babergh's Award winners have all made a special impact on a diverse range of community projects and activities and it is a wonderful reflection on our residents that every year there are so many nominations for an award." remarked Sue Wigglesworth, Babergh District Council's Chairman after presenting 24 Community Achievement Awards to the area's unsung heroes

Babergh's Awards Ceremony, now in its 13th year, was held on 11th March at the Stoke by Nayland Club and recognised the active involvement of its citizens within their local community. Winners received a framed certificate, a lead crystal flute and a photograph of the event.
Guest of honour at the event was Mark Murphy, BBC Radio Suffolk's Breakfast Presenter, and the winners received their Awards from both Sue Wigglesworth and Robert Audley, Managing Director of Prolog who have sponsored the event for the last four years.
Robert Audley added "We are again proud to be associated with this event which recognises the exceptional community spirit that makes our towns and villages a better place to live."
