Geoff Phillips
Geoff is a truly amazing person and the recipient of our Special Award this year. His nomination was accompanied by many letters of support, all paying tribute to Geoff's remarkable and unique achievements.
Geoff created Brettenham's "Village Inn". The village was once without a pub but Geoff makes sure that every month one is created and on a Friday night the village hall is transformed into an Inn. Geoff has always participated in village entertainment and as a competent singer and musician has been a regular performer at the Inn. Since 2001 Geoff has managed and supervised a major extension and improvements to the Village Hall and although the work is now complete there was hardly a day that he was not on site. Geoff supervised and assisted with every task with enthusiasm and cheerfulness.
