"This evening is a real "feed-good" occasion. I am sure you are all going to be very impressed by the wide age-range of our winners, the diverse range of projects, and the sheer variety of ways that people find to help their communities" remarked Sue Wigglesworth, Babergh District Council's Chairman after presenting 25 Community Achievement Awards to the very worthy winners.

Babergh Distict Council's Community Awards ceremony, now in its 14th year, was held on 8th March at the Stoke by Nayland Club and recognised the outstanding community spirit of its citizens within their local villages and schools. Each winner received a framed certificate, a lead crystal flute and a colour photograph of the event.
