Community Acheivement Award Winner 2006 - Patricia Lakey and her contribution to the community.

Patricia Lakey

Pat is nominated for her 12 year chairmanship of the Village Hall Committee. Pat is heavily involved in two major elements of village life - the Chelpin Players and of course the Village Hall. She has been involved in the Chelpin Players, a local amateur drama group for over 30 years initially acting but latterly as producer and director of over 50 plays. As Chairman of the Village Hall Committee Pat ensured funding was available for several major projects including a new kitchen. Her results mean the village has an excellent facility which is well used and appreciated.
