TANK which takes it initials from the founders, was formed in November 2005 and set up by a group of Great Cornard mums with the aim of improving life in their community, with particular emphasis on providing more activities for children. TANK have been involved in an arts project which aimed to re-design an open space area and numerous other activities including litter picks, picnics, a childrens christmas party and a mini-olympics. These residents are passionate about where they live and want to improve their community and environment. The Judging Panel were unanimous in their decision in recommending them for the 2009 Special Award.
