Stuart and Cynthia Hume receivinvg their award

Stuart and Cynthia have been the Sudbury area Poppy Appeal organisers for 19 years and since that time have worked tirelessly to increase the total yearly poppy appeal funds from £4,000 at the start of their campaign to £31,000 last year. Every year Stuart and Cynthia spend a month before Remembrance Day organising collecting boxes, poppy trays and wreaths, all of which have to be delivered by their band of volunteers before the launch date.
