What is Babergh Community Safety Partnership?
The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 placed a statutory duty on Babergh District Council, Suffolk County Council, Suffolk Constabulary, The Primary Care Trusts, Suffolk Police Authority, and Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service to work with other organisations to tackle crime and disorder. We all work together to create a "Safer and Stronger Suffolk".
What are the Partnership's aims?
- To tackle anti-social behaviour and provide activities for young people
- To reduce crime and disorder in town centres, particularly violent crime and vandalism related to alcohol
- To reduce domestic violence and abuse
- To reduce substance misue
- To enhance community safety
