The Head of Natural and Built Environment submitted a report (Paper J51) advising that the Gambling Act 2005 requires the Licensing Authority to prepare and publish a statement of higher level principles it will apply when dispensing its various gambling functions.
This statement, which has been in effect since 2007, must be reviewed and re-published every three years and a redrafted version of the statement was attached as Appendix 1 to Paper J51.
RESOLVED
That the draft Gambling Act 2005 ‘Statement of Licensing Principles’ document, attached as Appendix 1 to Paper J51 be approved, and that Officers be instructed to proceed with the commencement of a period of statutory consultation in accordance with Gambling Act 2005 legislation and regulations.
