The aim of the Conservation Team is to conserve and enhance the District's built heritage and to increase public awareness, appreciation and understanding of the historic environment. |

| Buildings At Risk | |

Historic buildings which are known to be ‘at risk' through neglect and decay, or vulnerable to becoming so, are added to a Buildings At Risk Register. |

| Conservation Areas | |
|---|
The Council has a duty to periodically review its conservation areas and if necessary amend them due to changing circumstances. A five year review programme has been started for the District's many conservation areas. |
