It originated from the University of East Anglia where some of the most important climate change research has been done. Babergh DC is a partner of the CRed Partnership, together with all the other Councils of Suffolk, the Environment Agency, the Energy Saving Trust, The Suffolk Chambers of Commerce and many others. The project’s aim is to engage with Suffolk communities (businesses and householders) to bring about a 60% reduction in carbon emissions by 2025 and to raise awareness that we need to adapt to a different climate where by 2080 rainfall is expected to be 50% less in summer and 30% more in winter.
