Discounted Insulation Schemes

These schemes are usually funded by gas and electricity utility companies to bring homeowners special Home Insulation offers

There are several discounted insulation schemes available to help you increase your loft insulation and install cavity wall insulation to reduce your heating bills where these measures are appropriate. 

Many of the schemes are subsidised by the electricity and gas utility companies who are required to secure reduced Carbon Dioxide emissions.  Always check with your gas and/or electricity provider to find out what insulation offers are available.

From January 2008 the two schemes detailed below can provide free insulation to ANYONE over 70, who is an owner-occupier or private tenant.

The discounted prices quoted for these schemes mean that you will virtually recover the cost in saved fuel in one year.

This information is provided to encourage residents to save energy, the Council does not guarantee the work but the utility companies have strict performance standards for the contractors to adhere to.

Whilst the Aran brochure indicates they are working with Forest Heath District Council, the offer is also available to Babergh residents. Other schemes are available.

Suffolk Warmer Walls
