In the interests of promoting consistency across the County, representatives from the Suffolk Environmental Protection Group - Contaminated Land Sub Group have produced the following guidance.

These Advice Notes relate to dealing with historical contamination and the redevelopment of land that may be contaminated. Advice is also given on the liability for dealing with contaminated land designated under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, Part IIA.
