Radar Key Scheme

Summary

Information on the Radar Key Scheme for disabled toilets.

The Radar Scheme is designed to prevent anti-social behaviour in disabled toilets, which are often targets for vandalism.

Some of the public toilet facilities participate in the Radar Key Scheme for disabled toilets – access to these disabled toilets is through the use of a special Radar Key, which can be used in over 6000 other facilities nationwide.

The Toilets with Radar locks fitted to the disabled cubicles are:

  • Pin Mill at Chelmondiston,
  • Flatford Lane and Red Lion Car Park at East Bergholt,
  • The Cock Inn Car Park and Prentice Street Car Park at Lavenham,
  • Cordell Road and The Green at Long Melford,

Radar keys can be purchased from the Babergh District Council Offices in Corks Lane, Hadleigh, The Sudbury Advice Centre or from Tourist Information Centres for £2 each.
