Council housing tenants are being invited to a special event to make sure they are even more aware of the wide range of services on offer – and meet the people who deliver them.
Babergh District Council’s Tenants’ Open Day will take on a ‘market’ feel with different services from the Council, Suffolk Constabulary and Babergh Tenants’ Forum, providing stalls explaining their role.
The event aims to ensure all of Babergh’s tenants are properly informed and are aware of all the services the district council provides.
Tenants will also be entered into a free draw where prizes include £100 cash, a composting bin and a year’s subscription to Babergh’s brown bin scheme among others.
The event, which is taking place on July 16 from 2pm until 7pm at Babergh’s offices in Hadleigh, is open to all housing tenants in the district.
Gavin Fisk, Babergh’s Principal Tenant Services Officer, said: “This is an ideal opportunity for any of Babergh’s tenants to come along, see just what services Babergh provides and for them to pick up information and tips on how to utilise everything that is on offer to them.
“It also means tenants can get a feel for what Babergh is like and be able to put a face to the voices at the end of a telephone line.
“We hope both tenants and staff will find it really useful and informative.”
