Brantham Industrial Area Planning Position Statement
Babergh sets out in the Brantham Industrial Area Planning Position Statement (PDF 365kb) the principles for the future of the site, prioritising the site for employment-related/commercial uses. It collects together the relevant national, regional and local policies for the site at a broad, strategic level. The public consultation period has now closed.
The statement will be revised and amended in light of representations received, and presented to Development Committee on 25th June and Strategy Committee on 31st July for adoption. You can view the committee report and revised statement via the agenda a week before.
Following the launch of the statement (summer 2008) Babergh aims to ensure that a feasibility study and development brief will be developed to investigate the area in much greater detail and provide a more refined basis to steer the site's future uses and any redevelopment proposals.
