The Brantham Industrial Area Planning Position Statement sets out the current relevant policy for the site and has been prepared to provide (non statutory) supplementary guidance in relation to the future use and development of the site at a strategic level.

The downloadable Brantham Industrial Area Planning Position Statement (PDF, 735kb) was adopted on the 31st July 2008, to provide supplementary guidance in relation to the future use of the site. It collects together the relevant national, regional and local policies for the site at a broad, strategic level. The statement was revised and amended in August 2008 in light of the representations received during the planning consultation.
Babergh aims to ensure that a feasibility study and development brief will be developed to investigate the area in much greater detail and provide a more refined basis to steer the site's future uses and any redevelopment proposals.
The content of the planning position statement should be read in conjunction with the adopted Babergh Local Plan 2006, particular policy EM08.
