Applying for Housing

Summary

Introduction to the Housing Register.

The government has asked all local authorities to introduce a new method of letting social housing called Choice Based Lettings

To prevent new applicants from having to complete two housing application forms in a short space of time, we have removed the original form from this website.  The new forms should be available for completion by 31 November 2008 and all existing housing applicants will be asked to complete the new form.  We will notify you, via this web-site, when the new form is available and how to access this.

If you consider your housing need is more urgent please contact the Customer Services Team on the number at the bottom of the page.

An urgent need could include:

  • Being homeless or about to be homeless
  • Experiencing domestic violence
  • Being in hospital and unable to return home
