If you live in Mid Suffolk area and you are a disabled person, we would like to invite you to attend the next forum on Wednesday 18 April 2018 at Stowmarket Salvation Army Hall, Violet Hill Road, IP14 1NE. There is plenty of free parking behind the building. The meetings run from 10.30am. Members of the Forum have signed up to the Disability Forum Terms of Reference

The Mid Suffolk Disability Forum has also put together some information to help you find out about some of the services and facilities that can help people with disabilities or their families and carers in their everyday life. This includes information on advice services, specialist equipment and much more.
Mid Suffolk District Council welcomes the new Act which came in to force 1st October 2010. The Act replaces the Disability Discrimination Act and offers greater legal protection for disabled people. In addition the Act clarifies that positive action can be taken to address inequality, while the duty to make reasonable adjustments is strengthened.
