Sudbury Vision for Prosperity (VFP)
We were proud to attend on 21 June when Sudbury Town Council hosted the Suffolk Day event on 21 June 2018. Babergh District Council is driving forward prosperity and as Sudbury is the nucleus of the District, success here is crucial to the prosperity of whole community. There are many different opinions to consider in mapping out the future of the town, and our starting point has been to discuss and understand the views of the local community.
We started it all off with a public display on 11 October 2017. It was obvious that people are passionate about the town, as over 400 response comments were received, as well as numerous conversations taking place.

The display material provoked many comments, but the overwhelming issue was the perception that the town is constantly being considered for major regeneration projects but that they are not delivered, and no information is forthcoming. Consequently, there is little positivity in residents and in potential investors in the area.
We have listened and the Action Plan contains up to date information about issues that matter most to you. Our partners have shared this journey and we look to them to help us ensure that the people of Sudbury and the surrounding villages receive the best possible service as we look to the future
We hope you are as excited about this new era in Sudbury’s timeline as we are, but please don’t think that “this is it”! We look forward to keeping Delivering a Vision for Prosperity going as we develop more projects and ideas, and reshape our services to better meet your needs.
We are implementing the actions, and we will be asking the public for more involvement in projects as they develop. You can keep up to date by following our Social Media Twitter page at #VFPSudbury
