The Council will consider informal bids tendered during the relevant timeframe. A formal Cabinet meeting and decision would be required to consider approval of a final disposal. The Council does not bind itself to accept the highest or any offer.

Belle Vue Park Concepts 2021
Local residents, visitors, businesses and stakeholders were able to feedback on the proposed park improvements. The opportunity to give feedback ended on Monday 1 November 2021.
These proposals were produced for the Council by HBS Architects.
The consultation boards were on public display at Belle Vue Park on the 15 and 16 October 2021, and in the window of the ex-Fanboo Salon (Unit 12) in Borehamgate Precinct.

Thank you to all those who gave feedback in person, via the survey or in writing. The responses gave a general indication of higher and lower importance elements within the concepts produced for the Council to consider.

We have now assessed all feedback received, towards developing a five year phased plan for improvements to the park. Some improvements may begin in Spring or Summer 2022. Some of the feedback’s suggested activities or facilities may not be viable in the park but may be an option for other areas of the town in the future.

A planning application ref: DC/22/00985 for the main priority elements (including entrance and wall) has been submitted by the Council in February 2022.
