The Leader and Deputy Leader of Babergh District Council are continuing their successful public Question Time events with a visit to Lavenham on Saturday 18 August.
The councillors are inviting people who live and work in the area to ask questions about the council’s work at the event in Lavenham Village Hall, Church Street, Lavenham, CO10 9QT which will be held on Saturday 18 August between 10am and 12noon.
Lavenham has been chosen as the location for the fifth public question time event to be held by the Leader of Babergh District Council, Councillor John Ward and Deputy Leader, Councillor Jan Osborne.
Cllr John Ward, Leader of Babergh District Council, said: “I’m really looking forward to speaking with people in Lavenham: our Question Time events have had a great response so far, and it’s been an opportunity not only for residents to put a human face to the Council but also for us as councillors to learn more about the concerns our residents have. We’ve already learned a lot and we’ve helped answer a lot of questions, and we’ can’t wait to do so again in Lavenham.”
This event follows the success of similar question and answer sessions held in Sudbury, Hadleigh, Shotley and Bures. Future events are being planned in Glemsford, East Bergholt and Great Cornard.
