The Leader and Deputy Leader of Babergh District Council are continuing their successful public Question Time events with a visit to Bures on Saturday 28 July.
The councillors are inviting people who live and work in the area to ask questions about the council’s work at the event in Bures Village Hall at Bures Community Centre, Nayland Road, Bures CO8 5BX, which will be held on Saturday 28 July between 10am and 12noon.
Bures has been chosen as the location for the fourth public question time event to be held by the Leader of Babergh District Council, Councillor John Ward and Deputy Leader, Councillor Jan Osborne.
Cllr Ward said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response at these Question Time events, and the enthusiasm with which residents have taken up the chance to speak with us directly. It’s helped us understand the concerns in the district, and I hope we’ve also helped those who have come to us with questions. Now we’ve started we’re going to keep going, and I hope to see even more people come out to talk to us in Bures on Saturday.”
This event follows the success of similar question and answer sessions held in Sudbury, Hadleigh and Shotley. Future events are being planned in Lavenham, Glemsford, East Bergholt and Great Cornard.
