Local Listing

Local lists play an important role in building and keeping a sense of local character and distinctiveness in the historic environment. Local lists can be used to identify local heritage assets and can be produced by local communities working with the District Council. They can help manage and understand what is special in a place as listed on the national list of historic buildings and conservation areas.

For more information on local listing please visit Historic England's webpage on Local Lists

There are two local lists in the Babergh Mid Suffolk area:

Nayland Local List (2004)

Sudbury Local List (2004)

Revised Sudbury Local List (2018)
