  • Abbott Way, Holbrook. (No access due to block paving work) The ongoing paving work is also scheduled to affect the refuse collections due on 1st May. As we are unable to make further attempts to collect the recycling due to the block paving work continuing, recycling collection has been abandoned for this week. If you would like us to send you some recycling sacks in the post which you can present next to your recycling bin on the next scheduled recycling collection, (on 9th May) please contact our team on 0300 1234 000 (opt 4) or email recycling@baberghmidsuffolk.gov.uk and we will send you some free of charge. As we may also be unable to access Abbott Way on Weds 1st May to collect the refuse bins, if possible please bring your refuse bin onto Ipswich Road and it will be collected from there. If you do this it would be a good idea to make sure your bin is labelled with your house number/name. Our collection crew have also been instructed to empty the blue bins with the black bins on 1st May for anyone that wants that. (Please note any recycling presented with the black bins will not be recycled) if you would like to pursue that option, please present both bins together on Ipswich Road on 1st May.

What you can do to avoid unnecessary missed collections

Please ensure that:

The correct bin or sack is presented at the edge of your property by 06:30 on collection day.

All waste is contained within a council branded bin (with the lid firmly shut) or in authorised council sacks (NO black bags!).

Waste is not contaminated (e.g. glass, food or bagged waste in the recycling bin/sacks or garden waste in the refuse bin/sacks).
