Home > Waste > My waste hasn't been collected

My waste hasn't been collected

We collect more than 80,000 bins across the districts every week.

Sometimes, bin collections can be delayed by factors out of our control, such as roadworks, obstructive parking, vehicle breakdowns and adverse or severe weather.

Before reporting a missed collection, please check below for any known delays in your area:

To avoid unnecessary missed collections, please ensure that:

  • The correct bins are put out by 6.30 am on your collection day
  • Lids are firmly closed
  • The bins are placed at the nearest point to the public highway
  • Any additional waste (refuse) is put in an authorised sack (we don't accept black sacks)
  • Any additional recycling is placed in a clear / see-through sack

If your bin contains items it shouldn't it may not be emptied and or stickered to let you know why. Check what should go in your bins.
