Simpler Recycling

Simpler Recycling regulations require your business to separate recyclable materials from your general waste.

The legislation was introduced on 31 March 2025, affecting business waste collections. This applied to all businesses in England with more than 10 fulltime employees, including healthcare establishments and schools.

If your business has under 10 employees, the regulations will apply from 31 March 2027 when all businesses will be legally required to separate food waste and recycling from their general waste.
