Hadleigh Town Council

An election, if contested, to fill the two vacancies on Hadleigh Town Council (South Ward) will be held on Thursday 2 December 2021.

To vote in the election on 2 December 2021, your completed application to register must be received no later than 11:59PM on Tuesday 16 November 2021.

Nomination Papers

You will need to contact our Elections team to make an appointment to deliver your nomination papers. If you arrive without having made an appointment, there may not be anyone available to receive your papers.

Papers must be hand-delivered but do not have to be delivered by the candidate themselves (for example, one trusted person can deliver the papers for several candidates).

Postal Voting

Despatch of postal votes to be confirmed.

The Count

Ballot papers will be verified and counted at Hadleigh Town Hall following the close of poll at 10pm on Thursday 2 December 2021.


Candidates are encouraged to read the electoral commission guidance with regards to providing expenses.

Please note: The returning officer and staff cannot provide guidance with regards to the campaign. Any concerns about the legality of a candidate’s campaign should be reported to the police.
