Reduce and reuse your waste

We always want to encourage households to generate as little waste as possible.

Recycling centres

Household and garden waste, plus large and electrical items, can be taken to a Suffolk Recycling Centre, which are managed by Suffolk County Council.

Recycling banks

There are more than 1,000 recycling banks in Suffolk for a wide range of materials, including; batteries, glass, textiles and clothing.

Visit the Recycle Now website to find the locations of your nearest recycling banks.

To report a full recycling bank, please use the contact information listed on the container.

Large and electrical items

Large and electrical items can be taken to a Suffolk Recycling Centre.

Or, we can collect and dispose of these items for you via our bulky item collection service, including:

  • fridges and freezers
  • furniture
  • sofas and armchairs
  • TVs, monitors, and computers
  • washing machines, tumble dryers and dishwashers

Authorised council sacks can be purchased from our sack stockists to dispose of extra household refuse, recycling, or garden waste.

Larger or additional bins

If you're struggling to reduce your household waste, and your bins are often full before collection day, you may be eligible for a larger or additional bin.
