- Mid Suffolk Submission Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Draft Charging Schedule
Subject matter
This Statement of Fact, submitted in accordance with sub-paragraph (iii) of Regulation 19 (3) of The Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended), covers the Babergh District Council Submission Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Draft Charging Schedule and the Mid Suffolk District Council Submission Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Draft Charging Schedule. The draft charging schedules were submitted on 7th September 2026 to the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to be examined by an independent Examiner appointed by the Planning Inspectorate.
CIL is a '£ per sqm' charge on new development to fund infrastructure needed to support growth of housing. The CIL Draft Charging Schedules for both Babergh and Mid Suffolk set out Babergh’s and Mid Suffolk’s rates of CIL that will be charged on certain types of new development in their areas for which both Councils are separate Charging Authorities.
