Glemsford NDP withdrawn from Examination (19 Aug 2025)
Independent examination of the Glemsford NDP by Janet Cheesley BA (Hons) DipTP MRTPI commenced in early July.
After carrying out a high-level review, an issue was identified relating to the assessment of an alternate site for housing development. Clarity on the SEA timeline was sought, resulting in an 'Open Letter' being sent to the Parish Council which gave them the opportunity to withdraw their NDP from examination so that they can prepare a revised SEA Environmental Report that considers reasonable alternatives. At their meeting on 12 August 2025, the Parish Council agreed to the withdrawal. The Examiner was notified of that decision on 19 August 2025.
Relevant correspondence can be found within the document linked below. Future updates on this NDP will be published here as and when required.
