SEA/HRA Screening and Determination (Mar 2026)
The pre-submission draft Shimpling NDP has been screened to determine whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and or a Habitats Assessment (HRA) were required. Both were 'screened out'. The relevant reports and our determination notice are published below:

Reg 05 Area Designation (06 October 2023)
On 19 September 2023, Shimpling Parish Council applied to have their parish designated as a neighbourhood plan area.
Under the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Babergh District Council confirmed this area designation on 6 October 2023. Our notice, the application, and a map identifying the NDP area are published below:
